LDII East Kotawaringin Slaughters 52 Sacrificial Animals During Eid al-Adha 2026

East Kotawaringin, Central Kalimantan (May 28, 2026) — The Regional Board of the Indonesian Islamic Propagation Institute (LDII) of East Kotawaringin recorded the slaughter of 52 sacrificial animals during the Eid al-Adha 1447 H celebrations in 2026. The total consisted of 36 cattle and 16 goats, processed simultaneously across various locations throughout East Kotawaringin Regency.

The annual qurban activity reflected LDII members' commitment to social solidarity and community service while strengthening the spirit of sharing and brotherhood during one of Islam’s most significant religious observances.

“Seventeen cattle were slaughtered within Sampit City, while the remaining animals were processed in areas outside the city,” said Dasuki, S.Pd., Chairman of the LDII Regional Board of East Kotawaringin, during the distribution of sacrificial meat on Wednesday (May 27, 2026).

More Than 2,000 Meat Packages Distributed

As part of this year's Eid al-Adha program, LDII East Kotawaringin successfully distributed more than 2,000 packages of sacrificial meat to local residents, neighboring communities, and families in need.

The distribution process was carried out systematically by committees at each slaughtering site, ensuring that the meat reached beneficiaries fairly and efficiently. Community enthusiasm was evident from the early morning until the completion of the distribution activities.

Alhamdulillah, the Eid al-Adha celebrations proceeded smoothly overall. The weather was favorable, and Eid prayers were conducted at several locations, some in mosque courtyards and others inside the mosques.

The statement was delivered by Abdillah Fawwaz, a member of the Advisory Council of the LDII Regional Board of East Kotawaringin, while monitoring Eid al-Adha activities at several locations.

Five Main Slaughtering Locations in Sampit
